The Audacity of Vanity
The old question about Obama: Who is he? The new: Who does he think he is?
The old question about Obama: Who is he? The new: Who does he think he is?
Barack Obama is headed overseas, with the three network anchors trailing behind him like groupies ga-ga over a rock star. And they say that media bias is just a myth.
The Illinois senator is no messiah but his appearance in Europe will inspire those disenchanted with America.
The promise and peril of the Obama world tour.
So he is criticized for not going to Iraq:

Now he is criticized for going overseas. As Dangerfield says, no respect.
And the krauthammer ‘piece’ might as well be retitiled ‘uppity negro runs for office, old white guy upset his world has changed while he napped’....
Helmut,
Come on, I expect better from you. Krauthammer’s piece very, very appropriately points out that Obama doesn’t hold a candle to JFK or Reagan and it is unseemly, to say the least, to watch Obama anoint himself worthy of speaking at the Gate.
There’s a reason there was a lot of controversy over it in Germany; it is inappropriate (again, being gentle here), and Krauthammer simply pointed it out.
The guy gets no respect because he deserves none.
Jordan,
Krauthammers piece complains about Obama’s desire to speak at a famous place, a pretty silly thing to criticize..The anger of the right over the lack of things to criticize Obama over is getting to be amusing. And whether you choose to see it there is some thinly veiled racism with this whole ‘how dare he’ attitude.
Anyways this ‘controversy’ is now over so on to the next one!
Thinly veiled racism? The fact that the guy sucks as a candidate has nothing to do with the fact that he is black. Get over it.
Read some Krauthammer...and try and show me how and where he’s racist.
