Attorney General Michael Mukasey collapsed while giving a speech to the Federalist Society tonight. It appears to have been a stroke. Prayers.

What we’ve seen in the smears against Sarah Palin go beyond the normal post-election squabbling.

“What an old anecdote about Mo Udall in the hospital reveals about McCain’s character.” A must-read.

More video evidence that “hope” and “change” really mean “typical politician.” The man has flip flopped more than John Kerry did in 2004.

You have to admit that Saturday Night Live has done a spectacular job at becoming relevant again during the campaign. (Olbermann-bashing bonus)

This is chutzpa. Barney Frank, among the chief architects of this whole mess, the man who denied the Bush Administration’s attempts to reform Fannie and Freddie in 2003, lectures the Republicans for allowing the bailout bill to fail when his party is in the majority:
You’ve got to be kidding me. In case you’re not aware of the role Barney Frank played in this whole thing, read today’s Thomas Sowell:
Among the Congressional “leaders” invited to the White House to devise a bailout “solution” are the very people who have for years created the risks that have now come home to roost.
Five years ago, Barney Frank vouched for the “soundness” of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and said “I do not see” any “possibility of serious financial losses to the treasury.”
Moreover, he said that the federal government has “probably done too little rather than too much to push them to meet the goals of affordable housing.”
Despicable. Read the whole thing.
While you’re at it, read Jonah today as well, he rightfully points out that neither party is innocent in this mess. You’ll have to excuse me if I can acknowledge that while still being repulsed by Barney Frank’s performance. The man should be laughed off the stage any time he even brings up this situation.
