The notion that a practicing lawyer did not know who these terrorists were is laughable. Not only that his “career” was launched from the saboteurs den, they helped him get hooked up with the right people, while taking a pay check from a Leftist legal firm, specializing in so called human rights and other contentious public affairs issues was an incubation period during which he was developing his network to rise politically while doing favors to his sponsors: Rezko, approving grants while being a board member for his terrorist buddy’s “projects” or getting a visa for an Arab on the watch list, etc.... It is remarkable to hear him telling his so called hi octane biography, in which he can go selectively to describe various moments in his less than interesting passage while carefully avoiding the more damaging episodes like “a man name Frank” (a Communist mentor in Hawaii known as Frank Marshal, but he, the lawyer, the scholar, the Cosmopolitan man has selective memory. In the Arab culture there is a concept known as Taqiya. In simple terms, for the purpose of a holy war-Jihad- the believer can lie, tell half truth, cheat, be dishinest, not reveal his true intentions, for the sake of victory. This is something he learned in Indonesia in those schools where he had the aptitude to read and learn what ever they spinned on the kids. If he is elected we will have here a Jihadi thinking President. All the rest is less important.

Something’s Gotta Give
Something is not right about this situation. A man who has a very good chance at becoming the next President of the United States is involved with unrepentant terrorists who have bombed the Pentagon and plotted to kill US servicemen. He is friends with them. He launched his political career at their house. I would never even shake hands with people like Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn. Yet, somehow, Barack Obama’s past with these two terrorists is not a big campaign issue. Well, I think it should be.
Thankfully, others do too. The latest on this issue comes from Stanley Kurtz at National Review. He writes:
The problem of Barack Obama’s relationship with Bill Ayers will not go away. Ayers and his wife, Bernardine Dohrn were terrorists for the notorious Weather Underground during the turbulent 1960s, turning fugitive when a bomb — designed to kill army officers in New Jersey — accidentally exploded in a New York townhouse. Prior to that, Ayers and his cohorts succeeded in bombing the Pentagon. Ayers and Dohrn remain unrepentant for their terrorist past. Ayers was pictured in a 2001 article for Chicago magazine, stomping on an American flag, and told the New York Times just before 9/11 that the notion of the United States as a just and fair and decent place “makes me want to puke.” Although Obama actually launched his political career at an event at Ayers’s and Dohrn’s home, Obama has dismissed Ayers as just “a guy who lives in my neighborhood,” and “not somebody who I exchange ideas from on a regular basis.” For his part, Ayers refuses to discuss his relationship with Obama.
Kurtz has been investigating Obama’s involvement with Ayers at the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, where Barack Obama served as chairman of the board. As John Hinderaker of Powerline writes:
The Challenge’s papers are housed at the Richard J. Daley Library at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Stanley Kurtz wanted to dig deeper into Obama’s work with the Annenberg Challenge, so he contacted the Daley Library and asked for access to the extensive papers that are housed there. The library said to come and look at them.
Kurtz relates that, just as he was about to board an airplane for Chicago to review the Annenberg Challenge papers at the Daley Library, a representative of the library emailed him to say that the Annenberg Challenge collection “is closed” and that he would not be permitted to see the papers. A shifting series of explanations ensued, but the bottom line is that the library has cut off public access to the records of the Annenberg Challenge. Kurtz suspects that Ayers himself may have intervened to prevent the history of Obama’s involvement in the foundation from coming to light.
The library says that there is some chance the collection may once again be opened to the public in the future, but, as Kurtz delicately puts it, there is a need “to ensure the security of these documents in the meantime.” It remains to be seen whether the full story of Barack Obama’s involvement with Bill Ayers and the Annenberg Challenge will ever see the light of day.
For a candidate for the Presidency, this is unacceptable. We can only hope that the truth makes its way out.
