We send our congratulations to Governor Sarah Palin and her family on her designation as the Republican nominee for Vice President. It is yet another encouraging sign that old barriers are falling in our politics. While we obviously have differences over how best to lead this country forward Governor Palin is an admirable person and will add a compelling new voice to this campaign. Senators Obama and Biden.

Obama vs. Obama (VIDEO)
More video evidence that “hope” and “change” really mean “typical politician.” The man has flip flopped more than John Kerry did in 2004.

Quote of the Day
Today’s quote of the day goes to Charles Johnson at Little Green Footballs. The Obama campaign attacked Sen. McCain’s choice with these words:
Today, John McCain put the former mayor of a town of 9,000 with zero foreign policy experience a heartbeat away from the presidency.
And in response, Charles has this gem:
Talk about a tin ear; for a campaign that already has a well-deserved reputation for being elitist and arrogant, to attack Palin for being a small-town mayor is blazingly dumb.
Nice.

Right on Helmut. I think it’s about time we took a quick break from the furious election and realized where we have come. No matter the outcome, this election will be an historic accomplishment...a woman VP or a black president.
Much progress is yet to be made, we are far from perfect, but we’re always on the march forward. A resounding congratulations to all those involved in all the campaigns…
Back to the rabid attacks!
The Obama-maniacs are a pretty low rent to hammer this fine Governor, on a week that thye began using Soviet-KGB tactics of supressing free speech in old Chicago. When their tawdry efforts failed the urged their groupies to call a radio station and harass the presenter with baseless complaints and mindless accustaions. These morons never read the material that was discussed, nor do they have the slightest familiarity with the facts about Obama and #1 Family of Terror, now parading as educators, money grabbers (Thanks to Prezident Obama, who approved much of the funds that disappeared with the Annberg Challenge). So this is the true face of a protege of U.S Communists, they finally got their man to the top and will use every weapon in the Arsenal of Saul Alinsky’s methods of gaining power. Smearing, harassing the media, threats are all part of it.
