Attorney General Michael Mukasey collapsed while giving a speech to the Federalist Society tonight. It appears to have been a stroke. Prayers.

What we’ve seen in the smears against Sarah Palin go beyond the normal post-election squabbling.

More video evidence that “hope” and “change” really mean “typical politician.” The man has flip flopped more than John Kerry did in 2004.

You have to admit that Saturday Night Live has done a spectacular job at becoming relevant again during the campaign. (Olbermann-bashing bonus)

One thing I noted yesterday while watching the Veep debate was how smooth and fluent Joe Biden sounded, at least in the beginning. Then it dawned on me. The reason he could keep on talking is because every now and then when he didn’t know where to go, he just made stuff up.
For example, Barack Obama never said he’d meet without preconditions with Ahmadinejad:
Biden tries to cover up this lie by saying that it’s not Ahmadinejad that’s in charge, it’s the Mullahs. Two things...one, nice try covering Obama’s tracks, and two, that’s even worse.
Another example is that he never said he was not in favor of clean coal, and he was taken out of context...well it’s hard to take this out of context:
And Biden went so far as to lie about Barack’s not backing Palestinian elections:
‘Part of the opportunity here with this upcoming election is to consolidate behind a single government with a single authority that can then negotiate as a reliable partner with Israel,’ said Obama.”
There’s more. Apparently Joe Biden thinks that Sen. McCain and Sen. Obama voted to raise taxes on people making $42,000 a year. Again, a complete lie:
Biden said McCain voted “the exact same way” as Obama to raise taxes on people making $42,000/year.
That’s a lie. McCain didn’t vote on either bill
There’s much more on Biden’s list of lies at Ace of Spaces and JohnMcCain.com.
Hat tip Little Green Footballs for much of the video in this post.
